Floating World, published by the Denver Botanic Gardens is a 70 page hardback book that examines various aspects of project development and installation in Colorado. In addition to the project, Also included are drawings and sculpture by Talasnik that reflect the conceptual development of the project, along with recent acquisitions of the artist's work by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Fogg Art Museum, Cambridge Mass; and the Pompidou in Paris.

The installation in Denver features 40 floating sculptures crafted of 5 different species of bamboo. The book also contains three essays by Mark Lamster, writer on Architecture and Design; Nora Lawrence, Chief Curator and Senior Artistic Director of Storm King Art Center, NY; and the artist, Stephen Talasnik who examines the relationship of drawing to sculpture.
